Church Boards play a key role in missional transformation that is not well understood. Unless the Board buys into a processes of missional transformation it will not become an essential part of a local church's DNA. To create a learning context for a Board to understand its role in transformation it must first engage the ways its various members are reading the work of the Board and the life of the church. The Board 360 is a tool for creating the conversations that make this happen.
The Board 360 is a series of questions about the work and direction of the Board that each member completes. The result is an aggregate Report showing the distributed responses of the Board to issues of direction, effectiveness, planning, decision making, communication and role. The result is a tool that enables to Board to assess its own readiness to lead missional transformation and identity the appropriate places to begin that work.
